Who Do I Thank ??

Thank you to both Rachel and Kelli who were so kind to post 4.5 and 4.0 star reviews on Goodreads in the recent past ! I just found out last night and you brought 'joy' to my heart. Sorry about the flakey comment. Rachel - thank you for actually making the purchase. Really. It isn't that I earn money (~.50) but that I do think having a book in hand makes a better impression since I am unknown. Thank you to Shannon who has also been of such great assistance. It is Shannon whose logical mind told me, 'do another goodreads give-a-way !!'
The 2010 revision of 'Kevin' has been out for almost a year.
~ 28 ebook copies have sold in 2011 :)
Considering this is 'self-published' and 'print-on-demand' for 'green' reasons.... and that the main way people are finding out about 'Kevin' is from Goodreads and the Global Internet Community [GIC] - I say thank you again to all of you who have read 'Kevin', shared their thoughts with someone, posted 4-5 stars (on amazon, goodreads, barnes&noble and one or more of the hundreds of other sites) and/or shared their feedback with me. And to my online friends, I still appreciate your help and will never forget you. Ever. I owe a bunch of emails .... but I know that you are busy too ! And yes amazon.com has been attaching my book in fields such as, 'people who read this book also read 'Kevin'. Several women have just found my book on amazon in this way. You all are friends for life !!

4.5 STARS FOR THIS BOOK!! What an amazing read Kevin My Military Man turned out to be! This book a tested to the fact that you can love more than one person in life, but out there in this big world is your soulmate. We all hope that we find that person one day. I was fortunate enough to learn about this book here on Goodreads and immediately went to Amazon and bought it, I am so glad that I did. Shane Kaelle spins a wonderful story of Military Romance. Kevin and Gina share 5 words in high school one day but their eyes connect their souls forever. Time and Distance play two major factors in their relationship. From their relationship the question of soul mates arises. Kaelle develops brilliant characters in Kevin and Gina as well as their respective children. Semper Fi! Bravo!

About the footnotes, I've explained this in the front and back matter of the 2010 revision. We are a global community and not everyone has English as a first language. Not every knows what g.p.a stands for example.
There is an 'author's self-critique' in the 2010 revision.
I do understand that the story may not appeal to certain people who tend to be more sedentary rather than industrious of mind and body as are the main characters. We are all so different and this has nothing to do with intelligence just personality. 'Kevin' is 99.7 % fiction. Maybe one day I will share the .3% that is true :)

'Kevin' on kindle - downloads increase. Thanks

'Kevin' touches the heart of two more individuals !!

1. I tend to read a lot of books normally quite quickly moving from different genres and authors quickly. I devote myself completely to each book but quickly finish them and move on to the next.
Kevin My Military Man was different. I knew by reading the pages prior to the story starting that this book was going to be something that I would relate to and would not want to finish quickly. So I have taken a lot longer to read this book than normal but it was because like a good summer holiday I wanted it to last.
This book was the most intelligent and thought provoking book of fiction that I have had the pleasure to read. The characters were well developed and you quickly became invested with the growth and development of their lives. I believe that the parallels to the characters', the author's and my own believes in global community, recycling, environment, spirituality and country security made my investment in the story so much more prevalent.
I will be recommending this book to all my family and friends that enjoy to read and I will be looking forward to reading the next book from Shane Kaelle. Please keep writing.

2. Although very long, Kevin presents readers with a wonderful story on love. I grew very attached to the characters, and at the end of the novel I felt as if I had taken a journey with them. Kaelle uses just enough description to draw a complete picture for the reader without overdoing it. If you want a good love story, look no further than Kevin My Military Man. There are so many ups and downs and twists and turns that you will never get bored. Don't be fooled either- the book is not solely about the military. In fact, I would not call it a military novel. Instead it is about family, passion, and morality. It's about marriage and soulmates.

Why is Kevin different than other contemporary fiction novels ?

there is not a mystery in kevin.
there is not a murder to solve.
there is not corruption to fight.
there is not a tragedy with a very happy ending.
when i say this, it is not to impugn or lessen the above genres.
they are wonderful. they are page-turners. they are inspirational.
my book is going into a completely different world. the 'real' world of many ordinary, 'real', people.
and still - most of us do not have simplistic lives. most of us have not achieved super-status.

it is about what happens or has happened to many of us as we transitioned from young adults to mature individuals.
i have heard from individuals who are in their 20's and 30's. they can relate to the story.
i have heard from individuals in their 60's, 70's and 80's. they can relate to the story.
i have heard from individuals in there 40's and 50's - the age range of kevin and gina as the story concludes. they can relate to the story.
i've met one goal. the story crosses generations and people can relate in many different ways to the story of kevin and gina.

please give kevin a chance !
